Under the suffocating blanket of summer’s heat, twenty-one-year-old Louise finds herself less than lucid, oscillating between bedridden and mindlessly floating. For the first time in years, she’s visiting the commune where she grew up vacationing, hoping to capture it for a photo project. Instead, she finds herself in a reality where everyone seems clued into something that she is not, where days and nights bleed into each other, and things are only clear by the shore.
